Medrasa(School) Bouanania

School Bounania is the most famous school in the Moroccan city of Fez, built by Sultan Abu Inan Faris ibn Abi-Hassan Marini between 1350-1355. The school plays an educational role, also it provide accommodation for students.
The School is located in the Medina(Old City) of Fes near the Mosque of Al-Quaraouin. It is considered as the last of the great schools of Morocco in terms of the unique and vast area, building decoration, and its planning. It consists of a large courtyard and two classes of teaching. In the southern side of the courtyard the mosque is situated. Friday prayers used to be held in the school, It has a beautiful silo, in addition to a water clock which the technique of operation is still unknown.
