Cathédral of Sacred Heart

The Cathedral of Casablanca or Sacred Heart Church is dating back to the thirties of the last century. One of the most prominent churches remaining after the independence of Morocco, and has become a cultural center meant for everyone. Built with a unique and wonderful European character par excellence, it was built according to the neo-Gothic style. Its Strategic location attracts many tourists. The Cathedral was built in the French protectorate period and exactly in 1930 and designed by architect Paul Tornan and gave it the character of Art Deco, considered as one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Casablanca.
The Catholic Cathedral stopped service in 1956 as it was a place of worship dedicated to the Christians who were living in Morocco during the French protectorate period. The Church has become a cultural center par excellence meant to safeguard the heritage and varied history. The Cathedral host as well many art galleries and frequented by many amateurs of art and literature.
