Tetouan

The Ethnographic Museum opened in 1948 and displays many artifacts related to the research of archaeological excavations in the region during the thirties of the twentieth century. The museum displays artifacts of cultural heritage of the city of Tetouan and surrounding. Most of the collection is dating to prehistoric and Islamic times.
The ethnographic museum was showing in his debut in 1928 at “Dar Bennouna” located in the old medina of Tetouan, then in 1948 it turns up to the current location.
The museum contains an Andalusian-style garden inspired by Andalusian gardens palaces.
